The ascent to Bergfried ("Donjon"), via a small steel ladder and through a hatch to the gallery, where the reward awaits in the form of a bed, requires strength, know-how and planning. The remainder of the flat can be negotiated without any specific skill: Bathroom and toilet are under the gallery. The small kitchen is suitable for beginners and also advanced chefs. Please watch out for low beams on the short journey from to the cosy corner seat in the gable, then relax with a homemade meal and a view of the castle mountain. You can view Hohenaschau castle and the sky from another angle through the large skylight in Bergfried both from the gallery and the living area.
