berge is anything but normal. / Yet, this is exactly the knack to it!
The guesthouse berge offers 16 individual apartments for self-caterers.
Except for the apartments „Bergebude“ - a shared room for three to six
persons - and the „Vorderstübchen“, you will find a fully equipped kitchen
in each apartment. There is always room for two persons. In some apart-
ments an extension sofa-sleeper for two more persons is available.
Apartments
There is no reception in berge. / You will certainly cope, however.
In the guesthouse itself there is neither a reception nor are there any
employees around. Your key to your apartment is deposited in a key
box on your left hand side in front of the main entrance to the guest-
house. You will find the number of your box and your personal code
enclosed with your booking confirmation. During your stay you can use
the box to stow away your keys in order to protect them from loss.
Please, put the keys back into the box, when you leave.
You need information? / Visit us in the „mountain rescue service“.
Except of other guests you will probably meet nobody else. Of course
there are a lot of useful hints and information in your apartment.
Furthermore you can visit us in our „mountain rescue service“ located
in the Nils Holger Moormann company building, which is approximately
200 m away from the guesthouse across the road. The reception is
open at normal working hours (Mo-Fr, 8.30am – 5.30pm). For urgent
cases on weekends you will find an emergency-berge-number at the
main entrance.
We welcome every guest! / However, you have to pay all the same!
You can pay at the „mountain rescue service“ at normal working hours
(Mo-Fr, 8.30am – 5.30pm). We accept EC, VISA and Mastercard. If you
visit us off-time (weekends or public holidays), we will forward the bill to
you so that you can transfer the amount charged.
Cooking by yourself is fun! / You don't have any choice anyway!
For there is no pub, no restaurant in berge. However, the small but
sophisticated kitchens invite you to cook by yourself. You can prepare
your meals on two electric induction hobs. The kitchens are equipped
with everything you need for your cooking wizardry: pots, pans, sieves,
cutlery, knives, espresso maker, teapot, beaker etc, but there is no stove.
We are pleased to give you hints, where best to go shopping or where
to get regional delicacies.
Oh, cooking is such fun! / But not all the time!
Whoever prefers being spoilt to working in the kitchen, can be
pampered in Aschau in various ways. He or she can for instance
enjoy being cooked for by a chef who is proud of the awards he
has won, or look forward to home-style cooking in traditional
inns. Our favourite restaurants and inns are presented in a leaf-
let in your apartment.
No television! / But books galoooooore.
Be happy! There is no television, no internet access, no telephone and no
good mobile phone reception in berge! But lots of time for you to read.
In each apartment you will find a small, exquisite library. Besides, the
„Literatenkammerl“ offers ample room and reading material galore for all
guests. Isn't this exactly what you have longed for so long?
Time to calm down at last?
The garden is for everyone. / As long as you take care of it!
Sun deck and cottage garden invite you to relax and sunbathe. Feel free
to borrow canvas chairs from the depot. Please help us by putting them
back after use!
We love bicyles. / But not in the house.
You walk on creaking, natural floor boards in the guesthouse. We hope
you understand that bicycles and skis should not be deposited in the
house, but in the depot next to the car park.
Do relish the Große Stube. / And then do the dishes!
The Große Stube accommodates 20-25 persons and can be booked
separately for events such as workshops, celebrations or receptions.
You can chose whether to do the catering yourself or to take advantage
of the service of our cook or the health food store in Prien.
Send us a order for drinks and wine.

Self-reliance is the name of the game. / Or make somebody help you.
The big cooking table and the fully equipped kitchen invite you to cook and
celebrate together. If you need help you can consult our local chef Hans
Blösl. Whether you want to cook together with him, enjoy being cooked for
or only get a freshly prepared meal delivered, everything is possible.
A wonderful breakfast or a simple snack is offered by the health food store
in Prien. For a fee we can provide further service staff.
You miss berge? / Take part of it home.
You can buy souvenirs at our berge shop, either as a present for some-
body or because they appeal to you so much that you want to have
them for yourself.
