... you do so on their terms. Simply put and simply thought. The philosophy of our guesthouse consistently follows the Moormann rule. Omit everything that isn’t necessary. No luxury, no gourmet cuisine, not even a TV. And the even the phone reception takes a break every now and then. A little bit peculiar, just like the mountains. But new perspectives will open up for you, among all the rough edges. So in addition to rest and relaxation, one or the other may even find himself.
We issue our guests with a personal key code when they receive their booking confirmation. This code opens a small compartment beside the front door, in which the apartment key is deposited. The key fits the front door to the main house as well as the respective apartment. You can also unlock the depot in the garden to stow your bicycles or skis. Check-in at berge is from 3 p.m. onwards. Check-out is 11 p.m. at the latest. Our reception team is available every day from 8.30 until 11.30 am to answer your questions.
There is no restaurant in berge, but there is a small, elegant kitchen in almost every apartment that entices to cook yourself. Bergebude and Vorderstübchen don’t have a kitchen, a good excuse to try out the local cafes for breakfast. If you don't want to swing the wooden spoon yourself, you will find a number of restaurants and mountain chalets in our immediate vicinity.
We don’t rely solely on the summer and winter breeze to keep the apartments spick and span. They are cleaned before you arrive and after you depart. Towels, bed linen and dressing gowns are provided and look forward to their time together with you. You can find the equipment of our apartments HERE.
Our guesthouse berge could certainly tell a story or two. After all it’s been standing on the same spot for the past 350 years. Owner Nils Holger Moormann bought the building in 2005 and renovated it with great sensitivity and attention to detail. The historic substance was kept and placed in exciting contrast to the modern, minimalistic design. So creaky floorboards come up against untreated steel, clay walls and exposed stone walls against large glass surfaces. In the meantime our guesthouse has been distinguished with numerous international design prizes.
